{Thank you to the lovely ladies who participated in Frankly Friday.
I’m going to do it again this week, so stay tuned and plan ahead! 🙂 I’d love to hear your stories}
This weekend was BUSY.
Can anyone else relate?
I got some painting done, washed my car, mowed the back yard (oh my gosh that was a nightmare), cleaned the house, messed it up again, painted picture frames, did a “photoshoot” and so much more.
. . .
I have some of the best friends ever. 🙂
Seriously i do.
I have been needing to take my camera out to practice taking pictures for a while now, and this weekend was the perfect opportunity.
You see i’m going to take some pictures for my cousin in a month or so (once it cools off) and i wanted to make sure that i was more comfortable with my camera.
Insert Beverly & Maria.
I basically volunteered them to be my guinea pigs so i could play with the settings on my camera.
I did Beverly’s hair and make-up and Maria did her own.
They should both be models, seriously, i have gorgeous and incredible girlfriends
We drove out to the Old Navy Base and mulled around trying to find a place that didn’t say “no trespassing” (hey i want to do things the right way!) and that was interesting enough.
Lo’and’behold this gem…
This was the only picture i took of the area where we were going to hang out.
Maybe other people don’t see potential here, but i totally did.
I’ll share with you some of the pictures…and PLEASE feel free to critique them as much as you would like. 99% of the time i have no idea what i’m doing.
I hope they won’t mind me sharing some of their pictures…meh, i dont think they will. 🙂
Beverly…
. . .
Maria…
. . .
. . .
This week i’ll be posting (well hopefully) lots of updates from around the house, so stay tuned.
. . .
{Update}
The police have arrested two boys in relation to the murders of the two girls i mentioned here.
Praise God, hopefully now the family & friends of these two young victims will be able to find peace, comfort, and closure.
. . .
How was everyone’s Labor Day Weekend?
Did you get any fun projects completed?
How many of you wish it was longer? *raises hand*
Spill.
Hey Amy! Loved your first Frankly Friday, now that I know how it works or what you had in mind, I will be linking up whenever I can. 🙂
Your weekend sounds like a good one! Especially the photoshoot part. My fav. pic is of Beverly in the polka dot shirt with the sun coming in on the right. The key is lighting and watching shadows. Not too dark, not too harsh, and no shadows on parts of people.
I am very much wishing the weekend and the people I spent it with were both still here.
these photos are beautiful!! you're going to be a great photographer!
what kind of camera do you have?? i want a dslr…but can't seem to decide which one will be best for me. any suggestions??
Your photos look great! I know what you mean about mostly being clueless, I feel the same way. But often my "experiments" turn out the best!
Great pics! I like the light. And you have beautiful friends!!
What kind of camera do you use?
I'm a wannabe photographer but still am usually clueless. That said… people must be liking my cluelessness because I'm lined up for a maternity shoot, baby shoot, family shoot, senior shoot and a wedding haha. Oh my! Makes me nervous haha.
Girl! You are GORGEOUS! Love your curls & freckles & blue eyes! 🙂 I could go on but i'm starting to sound creepy-ish.
Your friends are gorgeous too.
I love taking pics but i never practice those kinds of shoots. Just candid shots. I should start!
