. . .
Since i’ve been passing around this teaser for a few days i figured it’s time to spill the beans.
This year it was the first year i’ve actually ever decorated the dining room for…well anything.
I recently painted the wall where the mirror is {i’ll post about that in a few days} and then injured my foot so i haven’t felt up to painting the rest of the room, but it will happen….soon friends, soon. 🙂
. . .
. . .
I spider-webed the mirror and shoved some spiders on there, attached two crows and shazam…instant creepy. On the table i had some black tule that i wrapped around the candles and added some black sequined pumpkins, crows, and spiders.
The candles, are actually from last year. We took the white candles and dripped red wax down them to make them look bloody and after the season we put them in the attic. Well, wouldn’t you know having them in an attic during 100+ degree weather in the summer warps them; which thankfully adds to the creep factor.
The chandelier was wrapped with some spider web and we threw some spiders on there, it looks really, REALLY cool when it is turned on.
I really wanted to take the plates (that i searched 3 different dollar store locations over the course of three weeks to find) and write some of edgar allen poe’s words on them, like this pin:

But alas that didn’t happen…of course it didn’t because my new stove still isn’t installed.
However it all works out in my favor for when i can set the table for Thanksgiving & Christmas; so maybe the plates will get a face lift next year!
. . .
I also failed to decorate the buffet in this room; I ran out of time, $$, and motivation honestly so let’s all cross our fingers that next year will be LOADS better.
Is it weird that i’m already planning some things out for next year???
Meh, i just really enjoy this holiday.
Feel free to check out my Halloween Foyer from this year and you can also check out some past halloween decorating here.
. . .
I’ve got a few more areas to share with y’all before Halloween is over so keep checking back to see how everything unfolds. muahahahahahah.

this turned out soooo great!!!
Oh man, those candles are super creepy!
Awesome chandelier!! I found a beautiful, working chandelier in a dumpster a few months ago with nearly all the crystals attached and am having it rewired this week.
So excited to finally get it hung and get some photos! Just ran across your blot- Thanks for the little extra motivation 🙂

You come up with the cutest ideas. I love the idea of putting a spider web on a chandelier. The words-on-plate idea is really neat. I am the same way with projects- so many in my mind that I haven't done. I love DIY projects, but I have no motivation to do them. I love your blog because you do so many cute things!
Love the chandelier, I have one on my must have list for when I get my house!
