Well, since i mentioned yesterday that i would show you the foyer decorating…
…i of course forgot to upload the pictures.
. . .
Just kidding; but i’ve done that a thousand times before, and i’m sure it will happen even sooner now that i’ve jinxed myself! 🙂
. . .
You saw how last year i decorated the foyer with bats, which everyone seemed to love:
. . .
Well this year i wanted to go for more of an Elegantly Scary theme.
I’ve never been one to be a fan of the gore that Halloween brings.
The creepy exorcist and zombies that you can buy that move around, NO THANK YOU.
Yuck.
So with that being said i had a little bit of a challenge on my hand.
There isn’t very much “non-gore” things that you can buy that will fill up multiple spaces without looking repetitive. So without further ado, here is this years foyer:

I’m thinking of adding a few spider webs to the grandfather clock, maybe just to make it a little more spooky. I will also, for the party, be adding a small strobe light into living room for a little sha-zam! 🙂
. . .
I’m really loving the halloween terrariums (which i have a tutorial for later), the fun mask, and the pumpkins…ok really, i’m loving everything. Does that make me sound like i’m praising myself. I am, I’m not. =) When i loaded everything onto the console table i just kept thinking, something is off–what is it?! At this point i didn’t have the white sheet up there…it was just BLA. So i grabbed this dingy white super old sheet (that actually has ghost holes in it from an old costume!) and layered it around everything and Maria threw on a few spiders.
. . .
Now for a breakdown of where i got everything:
The Terrariums:
1. from TJ Maxx $10 (the one that has the crow silhouette in it).
2. The graveyard I actually had in my kitchen cabinet whatwhat.
The Pumpkins:
SO CUTE right? This is my first time buying small little pumpkins.
I bought them from a grocery store, Harris Teeter, to be exact. (i think total like $5)
The Mask:
Target. I LOVE the mask. It was $12.
Trinkets:
Spiders & halloween silhouettes, orange pom poms were from Target.
The moss & rocks were from Michaels.
The large spider web on the ceiling: Target. ($10)
The Boo pillow: TJ Maxx ($12 i think)
Everything else:
I already owned, or have had for years.
. . .
Yay.
Stay tuned…
Next week where i will reveal the dinning room…muahaha {and maybe a few other places}
That looks awesome. So well put together 🙂
