This weekend was VERY productive and a lot of fun honestly!
Friday evening was spent with my two female cousins hanging out at my place talking and laughing the night away. Saturday i was up early to help my grandma load some things into her car and once she left (a good few hours later after showing her the basics of facebook) my cousin came over to help me unload some of the stuff from my garage onto the trash pile. Sunday involved devotionals, a good will trip, grocery shopping, once upon a time, and an awesome dinner at one of my oldest and best friends house with her, her husband, and her sister in law.
So FANTASTIC weekend that i’ll be sharing more about as the week goes on.
. . .
I do have to give a little oh my gosh you are so freaking sweet shout out to
Melissa from Little Mrs Married.
Last Thursday when i was shuffling through all the bills in the mail i came across an envelope from Melissa. What is this? I ripped open that letter like a kid on Christmas and was completely blown away by her thoughtfulness!
HOW SWEET IS THAT?!
So a big ol’ THANK YOU to Melissa, girl you had me tearing up and everything! 🙂 I’ve already worn the necklace and i absolutely love it!
. . .
Last Thursday night i spent sitting at my kitchen table taking an online DIY blog class through Alt Summit. This month their classes are actually FREE {at this moment there are only 2 classes left open/that aren’t sold out!}!! I’m not sure how often they do free classes but it was definitely an interesting experience. I’m not 100% sure what i was expecting going into the hour class, but i was pleasantly surprised. I feel like i gained some knowledge and it was interesting to listen to all of the different perspectives, advice, stories.
. . .
Since i mentioned the good will run i’ll go ahead and show you the picture of what all we loaded up in the car and took, as well as an amazing story from the our previous trip to good will.
So we (the roomie and I) roll up to the unloading center and both hop out of the car.
I’m in jorts (don’t judge ha) and a t shirt with my hair pulled back and no make up on. Maria, as always, is dressed nicely bla blaaaaaaaaaaaa. 🙂
{the guy is the one who helped us unload}
Guy: Dang, how tall you is?
Maria: 6’1
Guy: Dang girl.
When she gets back into the car i walk inside to grab my donation slip and this conversation follows.
Guy: Is that ya ma?
Me: *laughing* oh no, we’re just friends.
{even though we get the “are y’all together” look all of the time. No we’re not, we’re just friends gah when did two girls hanging out become a relationship?!?!?}
Guy: Oh, well how old is she?
Me: uh…..28
Guy: **nods head and raises eye brows** Oh, i see….well y’all have a good day.
I got in the car and almost died from laughing. Needless to say i was VERY excited when we hit up goodwill yesterday to see if Maria’s admirer was there, sadly he wasn’t.
. . .
How was y’alls weekend?
