I’ve got to admit, i was a little disappointed that it was about 110 seconds of NSYNC’ness and nothing more – BUT i am thrilled that i got to see them back on stage. Truthfully it was Justin’s award and he was most awesome to share it with NSYNC…his said, “Half of the moonmen I won, i won with those four guys over there. We can keep it at my house but i share this award with them.”

I know half of the men (and maybe some ladies) in the world are like “why are these women freaking out over this moment?!?!”
The truth is I DONT KNOW!!
Just kidding, i do know, it reminds us that we were 13 again and we can have a minor freak out at the sight of 5 guys on stage singing their hearts out and having the time of their lives.
It reminds me of my teenage years when i hung posters on my wall and wasn’t so worried about bills, sickness, and what not. It was a time when i was able to learn choreographed routines with my girlfriends and perform them in our bedrooms all while fighting over which boy was “theirs”.
Basically, NSYNC (and other awesome bands) helps to bring out a piece of me that has been gone for a few years…and reminds me that it is ok to enjoy myself and not get so concerned with everything.
. . .
Nsync rant over. ha.
. . .
This weekend was fun.
Lots of fun actually.
{minus another dizzy spell that plagued me saturday late afternoon/evening}
Maria & I went downtown to explore and shop around.
We hung out with my cousin Ty who just started his freshman year in college {and yes he’s single my college lady friends…S.I.N.G.L.E.}. We picked up a thousand things of catfood for Tobi – and dubbed me “cat lady in training” in the process.
I got to skype with my broseph = YAY!
We started putting together the bookcase….i freaked out a ton.
We will be finishing it tonight.
All in all…it was great!

Ok, seriously, you took the words out of my mouth about Nsync! I didn't get to watch it last night, but I just YouTubed it at work (hopefully the IT people don't get on my trail for hitting up YouTube), and immediately a smile came across my face! Besides it reminding me of a simpler time and my youth/teenage years, it also reminds me that music used to actually be good. Like, people would actually sing. None of this auto-tune crap. And I don't care if the songs were corny, I would rather listen to catchy love songs than listen to people sing about drugs, and money, and whatever the heck else these sad people sing about. Bring back the boy bands!!! …btw, TOTALLY going to see Backstreet Boys next month! Can't freakin' wait!
Thank you for insight into the mind of boyband fangirls!!! 🙂 lol! You said it PERFECTLY. I'm pretty sure we had this convo before – I was all about the Backstreet Boys myself, but I'm happy for you NSync fans.
Sounds like a great weekend! Some cities just NEVER get old. With you aroundyour cousin Ty won't be single for long – way to advertise for the poor kid! 😉
Oh my gosh, I am so excited to see NSYNC! I taped the show and am seriously giddy about watching it tonight!
XOXO

ps Crazy cat lady isn't so bad!!! My friend's husband was wearing a shirt the other day that had a cat head on it and under that it said " Check Meowt". This was hilarious because she IS a crazy cat lady and he's ALWAYS giving her a hard time about it. Clearly, people are converting all the time.
I didn't get to watch the awards, but I feel like I did because of all the posts and tweets about it! 🙂 Glad you had a good weekend! Linked over from Finding My Forever blog!
Oh my, I loved me some N*Sync back in the day. Gotta love that they were reunited! My sister has a crazy cat lady board game, it's actually pretty fun… not always a bad thing. 🙂
Oh JC…I always loved him most. I wish they did a full song instead of a 10 second whateverthatwas. I guess I shouldn't complain, it was better than nothing.
After that moment, I'm pretty sure I could die happy. It's like my life has come full circle! Cameron was not at all understanding of why I was sitting on the floor a foot in front of the TV, but 10-year-old me understood.
Oh man! I so would have loved to see N'SYNC…but alas I don't think I had a way to watch. Your bookshelf looks AMAZING! Can't wait to see the finished piece in the room. And sort of random – but all I could do was laugh at myself for being grossed out by the name on your coffee cup (Muddy Waters). Yeah. I'm SO pregnant! LOL Glad you had an enjoyable weekend!
um you have cute cousins too! 😉 if only he were like 8 years older. bahahha. #cougaralert
i missed out on the j. timbs performance, so i'm going to need to go find it and watch!!
I really thought I was going to bust a hole in my living room floor from jumping up and down so hard when NSYNC came on. Every time Justin was performing and the lights would dim, I would scream. For the longest time I thought they weren't going to come out and THEN I realized that JT was singing his songs chronologically…reversed. And I just KNEW they were coming out. haha Can you tell I was into it? I'm sure my parents appreciated the screams that were filling our house. haha 🙂
110 seconds of nsync is better than 0 seconds of nsync! also, definitely the only reason i watched the VMAs….hahaha
also, you're the cutest cat-lady that ever way. so own it! 🙂
