i love art galleries.
& charleston is full of them.
but there is a certain…charm that some galleries have over others.
some hold classic art – love.
some hold modern art – beautiful.
then there are others that mix the two and it creats this set apart thing – swoon.

i’ve mentioned my love for the rls gallery before.
truthfully, this gallery steals my heart every time i walk in the door.
the rls gallery (robert lange studio) has won best art gallery since 2010 in the charleston area.
i’m not surprised.
it is charming.
it is modern.
it is classic.
it is breath-taking.
it is truly – one of a kind.

the door clicks behind me.
the air condition wicks the sweat from the nape of my neck.
my eyes take in the colors, the lines, the beauty.
i deeply inhale.
slowly exhale.
i feel at home.
surrounded by timeless pieces and brick walls.
i curl up on the leather couch.
soak in the quiet.
the lovely
the art.

So one of my dreams is to open an art gallery in our town and THIS gallery in Charleston was one of my inspirations! So funny!

Ooh, pretty! You had me at the brick exterior and the white windows, the cool lighting, and the exposed brick + wood beams, too. It really sets the atmosphere for all of the beautiful art!

I was going to say, I love that cloud scenery as well. And that elephant! How awesome! I would stay in this place for hours. The second time I was in San Fran, we were just wandering around and we found this awesome art studio. I spent almost an hour looking at everything. Oh and when you first walked in, there were tree replicas as tall as the ceiling! It was so wonderful!
