i thought i would share another daily routine with y’all.
a while back i mentioned in one of my etsy crush posts that i was eyeing plant skin care.
i took the plunge and ordered a product (and they sent a new one my way to test out and review).
the shipping was pretty fast considering it came from Australia; and the packaging was just beautiful (i am a sucker for beautifully marketed products). i keep my lotions/creams in the fridge (they recommend it, and it feels amazing) so it is like a nice little refresh moment for my face every single time i use them.
plant skin care | macadamia & fennel repairing cream
this product is currently not in their store, it is a new product that they sent me to test out before they launch it in their store. the macadamia and fennel repairing cream is geared toward sensitive, dry, or irritated skin – and i knew i had to test it out for them. 😉
texture: a little thick, smooth, creamy, like soft butt’ah.
smell: there really isn’t a smell for this one. i even took a big’ol’wiff this morning to see if i could put a label on it – and nope, nothing disgusting or delicious. which actually makes me happy because lotions with a lot of smells 99% of the time mean a lot of chemicals.
how i use it: every. single. day. i slather this on my face right after i get out of the shower. i remember the first few times i used it i thought “did i use too much, will this absorb into my skin?” since it seemed a little “wet” on my face; but after a minute or two it was all absorbed. y’all this is like – an answer to my skins dreams!
results: i have noticed that my skin “glows” now; and not necessarily in that “i’m so oily i could run a car” way. my skin is hydrated, feels healthier, and a lot smoother. i’ve noticed that when i’ve gone on a few trips and didn’t take this product but used travel sized other brands that my skin never felt “as good” as it did when i use plant skin care’s products.
i can not wait for them to put this in their shop – when i start running low i will be ordering another ASAP.
plant skin care | beeswax & coffee night balm
what plant skin care says about this product: Made with a blend of high grade olive, apricot kernel, avocado and castor oils this balm also contains beeswax from our very own hive. Infused with coffee and further enriched by liquid vitamin E, PLANT night balm is designed to heal, repair and rejuvenate
texture: it has a thicker texture than the repairing cream – more like a lip balm in a tin (that is the best description i can give for its texture).
smell: refreshing? that is the best thing i can think of. it has a “sharp-ish” smell to it – i guess that is the coffee & beeswax, but i actually like it. (and i re-smelt it this morning, definitely has a little coffee aroma to it which you think would be counter-productive at night, but no – it is pretty calming)
how i use it: i try to remember to use this every night, but lets keep it real i can be flighty after 9pm. i dig my finger into the tin with a little pressure (that sounds weird) and get a little bit and smudge it on my fingers – i dab it around my face then smooth it in.
results: i wake up in the morning to a smoother, less oily, hydrated face. personally, i’ve noticed lessening of my wrinkles around the eyes and mouth.
overall thoughts:
i’ve been using these products for around 2 months now and i am sold. completely sold.
and if you’re wondering “man that doesn’t seem like a lot of product for the price” trust me – it is, and i still have a few months left in the little tins”. i’ve learned a little goes a long way with their stuff. as mentioned earlier, i feel that my skin feels and looks healthier than it did before i started using their creams – and for that i am thankful.

Oh this sounds amazing! And the packaging is great too!!
This makes me happy! I've known for awhile that I need to get something for my skin that isn't loaded with chemicals, especially a face cream. I tend to avoid putting much on my face because it usually leaves me feeling so greasy and gross. I'm going to look into these. Thanks for posting!
Ooh, these sound great! I'm glad you like them and I'm also glad you included such a thorough review (especially the smell part–I've been told I have a sensitive nose (along with sensitive skin, haha) so hearing that the first one doesn't have a strong scent is major for me. Going to go check out their shop now!
This stuff sounds great! I've been looking for a couple of things to work into a routine…Like a morning vs. evening cleanser, an exfoliator, and a morning lotion (I like the sound of the repair cream you mentioned).
Do you have any favorites?
Thanks for the reviews friend! You know I love hearing about natural products that work!
This product sounds (and looks) awesome! I'm soo gonna check this out.
You have me sold! I like what I use, but I'm always looking for new face products.
