art.
i love it.
i’m captivated by it.
i’m completely enamored by paint strokes, pencil shavings, and using my hands.
but watercolor – completely stumps me.
it’s so beautiful and so challenging to accomplish.

i’m constantly mesmerized by how beautiful watercolor paintings can be.
how they can look translucent and layered all within one piece.
it feels so whimsical to me, like a fresh breeze in the mountains.
one of my favorite things about this book are the helpful tips at the bottom of the sections…showing you new techniques to use.
…and while flipping through the pages i am constantly inspired by each different artistic eye.
painting is a huge stress reliever for me…it brings a calmness to my day and a blank slate to my mind.
it is a place in time where i can disconnect and bring my focus on something else, and create.
it’s been a solid year since i’ve really taken some time to practice sketching, painting, creating with my hands.
and i’ve missed it.
so i took a twenty minute time block while watching some netflix and sketched.
after a few pencils strokes i found my watercolor palette and brush and started playing with paint.
i received this book for review from blogging for books /// all pictures & opinions are my own.
