some days the wind just takes over.
this was one of those days.
maria, lauren & i headed downtown for a morning to hang out, laugh, and snap some pictures.
it also happened to be one of the most frigid and windy days we’ve had so far this winter, i sure know how to choose the moments to capture. also, why did i take off my coat?! the things we do for a picture.
actually, let’s take a moment to discuss this coat.
it was an on-the-whim purchase from old navy – because it was only $15!!
YES.
if i’m being honest – it’s a little tight in the shoulders, but hey, that’s ok.
it’s just a goal to work towards – and as long as i’m wearing one layer underneath the jacket – it’s all good.
have you ever purchased something because it was the right price, your style, and just a smidge tight?
i’ve found that i’m trying to take more advantage of enjoying, and exploring the city that i’ve been born and raised in. you often forget how beautiful something can be when you see it day in and day out. this restaurant front is near my office and i walk by it often when i take my lunch break. the wooden windows and door frame always call to my heart, and i love the faded artwork on the outside. it’s charming and just draws me in. i’m trying to begin to notice the little details again – and stop and enjoy them.
what’s the point if you’re not enjoying things?
