It’s been a long long time since an Etsy Swap has been done, the last one was actually in 2014!!!
So why bring it back now?
I mentioned recently how much the blogging world has changed and how I’ve been super nostalgic over the blog start-up days 8+ years ago. When blogging was basically an online journal, an outlet, a way to re-cap your week, to connect with others, and build some amazing friendships. I actually have made some life-long friendships with women who I met through this little ol’ blog and that constantly blows my mind!
It’s been a LONG TIME since I’ve seen any sort of swap hosted by someone (remember the coffee mug swaps?!) and I wanted to bring back the Etsy Swap that I came up with (and Meg helped host!) all those years ago. This is an opportunity to step back from a busy schedule, to get to know another person, to hunt for that perfect gift, AND to support small business.
Why Etsy and not any other store?
I truly love supporting small businesses and the passion of others and to me, etsy does that (this is NOT sponsored). Plus you can find some of the most beautiful and unique items on Etsy and that makes gift giving so fun!!
So sign up today and tell ALL YOUR FRIENDS! <3 The more the merrier!
Ps – Feel free to follow along on Bloglovin / Instagram / Facebook so you don’t miss any updates or gift ideas!!

FAQ
*This swap is currently ONLY for USA this round.
1. Do I have to be a blogger to participate?
No ma’am/sir!
2. What is the price range?
$40-50 – but you’re welcome to spend a little more on the etsy item(s).
3. Do I send anything more than what I’ve purchased off of etsy?
You don’t have to – but I’ve noticed that since the start of the swap everyone adds in a little something extra to sweeten the box. Think: Target’s dollar spot, you’re favorite coffee/tea sample, a little sweet treat, etc. I highly suggest sending a few extra goodies and a personalized note to help connect with the person you’re swapping with!
4. Am I sending/receiving from the same person?
Nope!
This is more of a secret santa style swap. This way you get to know two people – the one you’re sending something to and the one who sends you something!
5. Should I contact the person I’m sending to?
If you don’t have to – don’t contact them.
Part of the fun is the mystery!
I will provide you with their contact information in case there is a miscommunication or you’ve shipped late (try not to!) that way your swap partner is informed!
6. Anything else I should be aware of?
CHECK YOUR SHIPPING ESTIMATE TIMES!
When you’re looking to purchase a gift for your partner, make sure you see how long it takes to arrive at your place to be boxed up! My suggestion is to not wait until the last minute so that way you can have the item shipped to you first, to be boxed up with some other goodies (#3) and not suddenly realizing you waited too late and have to have it shipped without a personal touch to your partner.
7. I never received my Etsy product / I’m not happy with what I received.
Ugh, I dislike this very much, but unfortunately it happens.
Sometimes I have people sign up who don’t follow through on their commitments and it really ruins the experience for others. I try my best to make sure everyone understands their commitment prior to signing up – you are given a partner, a price range, and a list of likes – I hope for you to lovingly follow through on your end. Please remember that with any sign-up you run the risk of having a flaky partner and you might not receive your gift. The best I can do is ask you to be a woman/man of your word and follow through with your commitment. A Loved Life Blog is not responsible if you do not receive your item as this is a free to sign up swap!
If you are not happy with what you’ve received, I am super sorry!
Try to put a positive spin on it – you sent out an awesome package to your partner and were a blessing to them!
