Things are slowly coming together in our Charleston home; and by slowly I mean I still have way too many boxes to unpack, haven’t hung anything on the walls, and I really don’t know where to put everything. 😉
This is actually the LONGEST it has taken me to unpack in the last 2 years of moving constantly and I think that stems from we are hopefully going to be here for a little while and I want to get everything in the right place.
I then have to remind myself that things change and grow over time and it’s ok to put a hole in the wall and then change my mind later. PLUS we have to remove ALL THE WALLPAPER from downstairs, yup, that picture you see below, that’s painted textured wallpaper. UGH.
Ok, enough of that, let’s get to the real reason I’m posting today. COFFEE TABLES! I have been without one for a few months (we sold the one Eddie had from his bachelor days back in San Diego before we moved) and I miss having that extra place to put drinks, candles, magazines. I won’t go overboard because I’m really trying to minimize and not have a ton of clutter going around the house. (Thanks Marie Kondo)

I’ve been trying to find options that I really like but also won’t break the bank. Since I’m not really SURE where my style is going with this house (I have an idea – boho/farmhouse/minimalist/scandanavian) and we have a lot of elements to mix together this coffee table may not stay for the long run.
I also ran into the issue that since we bought higher legs per some reviews online for our new sofa than what it came with (it was basically sitting on the floor before) the normal 18” height of a coffee table is low, but I’m still not fully weighing it out. Below you’ll find some if the coffee tables I’ve bene looking at to help fill out this space and yes, I would LOVE your input! 🙂

PS.
I can’t wait to show y’all more of this room, especially once the coffee table gets in and I make one more small trip to IKEA (because I miscalculated and didn’t buy enough curtains! You’ll be seeing phase one of the room really soon!
