Now that I’m back in Charleston and spending my weekends trying to re-connect with the city / family / friends I hope to bring back these my weekend posts because I really do love them. Overall I had a great weekend and was able to get some really good rest. I’m hoping to get to bed a little earlier this week so I can function better throughout the day, sleep is important y’all. 😉
Also today is Eddie’s and my 2 year Wedding Anniversary! I’m totally bummed we don’t get to celebrate it together (again this year, hopefully our 3rd year we will be together to celebrate!) but I truly can’t be more thrilled that I am married to my best friend, the love of my life, the one who encourages, challenges, pushes, and comforts me. The man who helps me to see my dreams, chase after them, and cross the finish line. The man who dreams big dreams with me, who laughs at weird things, and will marathon Harry Potter any day of the week. Most of all, this man has shown me how to be more Christ-like in my day to day life. His constant patience, compassion, kindness, and determination remind me to soften my heart towards others and put God first. I love you Eddie! <3

I want this week to look like:
Getting in my OTF workouts (at least 3, hopefully 4!)
Be mindful of my food choices; more real, less processed.
Unpack at least a few more spaces in the house.
Intentional stretching in the mornings / evenings.
FRIDAY
Friday was a great day at my part-time job (I make salads / chop them / and love them!) and then ran a few errands after work. I ended up running to Lowes and grabbed a small thing of paint to work on my in-home studio space for my boudoir clients. I also started a new audio book, “Impostors”, and I am OBSESSED with it!
SATURDAY
I didn’t sleep well Friday night and ended up having a rather slow morning. After getting a few things done around the house I went out to Edisto to spend some time with family and get ready for our oyster roast! We had about 35-40 family members and a handful of friends come out to my grandparents place and eat 7 bushels of oysters and a ton of other food! I made this delicious spinach and artichoke dip that everyone asked for the recipe!
SUNDAY
Went to church in the morning and soaked up some good quality Jesus time. It was also Life Group Sunday where we sign up for our new semester of life groups to, well I’m sure you guessed it, do life together! I am definitely doing the Holy Yoga group (YAY!) and am thinking of either doing a sewing class (although I’ll miss the first few weeks), or doing a morning coffee group before I head in to work.
After church I went to this delicious place downtown, Huriyali, as an early anniversary celebration. Our 2nd wedding anniversary is tomorrow and with Eddie being gone this was a nice little way to celebrate as we both loved grabbing some food there (It’s also beautiful inside and out!).
After some lunch I ran to a few stores to peruse and just get out of the house for a while.
All in all it was a great relaxing Sunday!
