This past weekend was one that carried on the tone of the week preceding it – busy! I find that I do my best when I have a schedule and am having to keep track of time. I love structure and thrive on to-do lists and time slots; I know, I’m weird. I was really thankful for this weekend though. It allowed me some good time to reflect, challenge myself, and not be lazy!
Friday
I had a small moment of cracking this day. It was a crazy busy week and I found myself super emotional a lot (thanks period!) and I kind of hit my limit on Friday. Thankfully it wasn’t a long work day (still crazy busy) and I was able to come home and knock out the cleaning I NEEDED to do before the weekend started. I spent some time sitting in the sunroom soaking up the the view of the blooming flowers in the backyard; I love the start of springtime! I then went to a friends home for a house warming / jewelry party and spent some time chatting and soaking up the social time!

Saturday
I was able to start the morning off early with some cleaning and then my brother & sister in law came over and we went to Charles Towne Landing to check out their Native Plant Sale. It ended up being a bust as #1 It was all outdoor plants #2 we were an hour after their start time and things were really picked over. We found ourselves going to the big tent sale that is set up every year and each got some amazing plants for our home. These are my first really BIG plants and I’m a little nervous about keeping them alive but I think it will be a great challenge. Plus I love the fresh air and beauty they bring to my home!
I then had an in-home boudoir studio session and my client ROCKED IT! Seriously I love capturing the fierce beauty of women; it brings such joy to my heart! I found myself getting some editing done the rest of the evening and attempting to relax; and by relaxing I mean dreaming of a few other “stations” to put in the studio room!

Sunday
I went to the early service at church and soaked in some sweet knowledge and encouragement to start bending my hearts towards joy this week. Afterwards I ran to At Home to see about some planters for my new plants. I decided to actually keep them in their nursery pots and put a water collector under them and place them (except one) in baskets. This will give them time to acclimate to their new home vs immediately repotting them. I ran a few more errands which included picking up the paint color for the sunroom! I am SO EXCITED to start painting this week! I was able to knock out a project for the blog and then I found myself heading over to a friends house to help with some projects she needed to get done. I ended the evening curled up on the couch watching some TV to unwind. I have realized I am staying up WAY TOO LATE and it needs to be fixed. To help wind down even more I picked up the book I’m currently reading and started in on Enneagram #8 – which I’m pretty sure is one of the most accurate descriptions of my personality…ever. It’s insane how spot on it is.
