Weekends are such a good thing. After such a crazy week it was prefect to unplug, unwind, and recharge. I found myself having quiet time, stretching, and doing some cleaning which let’s be honest is always a good idea. If I’m keeping it real I have been battling a lot of anxiety and boredom when it comes to “free time”. It’s hard to be alone a lot, which yes – first world problems, mainly because I am married, and I do have my person, and we just are in a season of life where we aren’t living together (hey military) and it’s hard. I’m trying to find ways to stay busy and active without spending all the money going out and doing things, free is best right now! So if you have fun things you love to do that don’t cost lots of $$ I would love to hear about it.
FRIDAY
I opened at OTF (aka get there at 430AM) and had a pretty quick shift. After work I ran to Aldi & Trader Joes for the charcuterie board items (seen below) and wanted to buy ALL THE THINGS. Speaking of Trader Joes…they’ve got some gorgeous fall bloom selections if you’re wanting to make a little bouquet. I then went home and got ready to go to “Ghostly Tales” out on the beach where they had a bonfire set up with hot chocolate and a man in an awesome pirate’s costume tell us local ghost stories!
SATURDAY
It was pouring rain ALL DAY LONG which made me want to curl up and do nothing. I spent the morning with a cup of coffee in hand and watching a little TV. I then ran some errands around town that ended up taking a few hours longer than I thought. I ended up at a pet store and was staring at kittens, because I still miss Tobi like crazy and am ready to get 2 new kittens. BUT IT IS NOT TIME YET. I’m waiting for Eddie to get back home and us get settled in Charleston together before getting 2 new sweet baby kittens. I ended up going to see my sweet friend Marissa who just moved to Charleston and their new home. I ended up not going to sleep until after 2AM due to some anxiety.
SUNDAY
After a little bit of sleep I grabbed made another cup of french press coffee and went out to my sunroom for some devotional time. I then ran to the grocery store to grab the goods to make Apple Cider Mimosas (y’all SO GOOD!) for the little birthday get-together I was having. That afternoon I had a few girlfriends over for snacks, charcuterie, and halloween movies. We lounged around and watched Hocus Pocus, Beetlejuice, and The Covenant in chill clothes (aka the best clothes!). It was a great way to just spend a low key afternoon with friends.

Easy Charcuterie Board
Let me start off by saying there are SO MANY good charcuterie posts out there and I suggest you just go browse them all if you love this stuff! My next board I make (this was my first!) I want to try some different cheese, meats, fruit, jams, etc!
I also got ALL of these things from either Aldi or Trader Joes. I’ll put an (A) for aldi or a (TJs) for trader joes to show where I got everything! Some of these are more autumn seasonal items so feel free to switch it up if you’re visiting during a different time of year than fall 😉 .
