It’s not news here but I’ve found myself deep within a writers block for a very long time. It’s come from so many places: feeling overwhelmed in some seasons, uninspired in others, not knowing what to say in fear of saying too much, feeling like I would be judged, or even simply just not wanting to share my thoughts. I was talking with Sam from Elah Tree about how hard it has been to find that motivation and inspiration and she said “just write about what you want to”.
So I’m taking a little writing prompt for November that I found on pinterest and I hope to make it through all 30 days of this month. At times I’m sure it will feel tedious and others I think it will be such a cathartic release. If you’re interested in joining me on this journey I’ll shoot you the prompts and we can follow along!
Q | Your goals for this month
This is basically a monthly goals / currently post for me so I’m going to put them together again! I really enjoy making monthly goals and currently posts as I think it helps set the tone for the days to come.
November Monthly Goals
- Write every day using the prompts.
- Track / Better manage my food intake and educate myself on the nutrition I’m eating.
- BE PRESENT when I spend time with Eddie for a few days.
- Keep moving every day.
Reading | I’ve been reading / listening to a few books recently. The Unhoneymooners, The Flatshare, Educated. I haven’t been reading as much as I would like to because I’ve been binge listening to podcasts or binge watching new shows (woot).
Eating | This butternut squash bisque. Not even kidding I went to world market yesterday to peruse their leftover Halloween and bought 3 jars. I fell in love with butternut squash soup while living in the northeast and It just brings me so much joy. I like to re-use the glass containers for my pantry! I’ve also been eating a lot of sweet potato avocado toast, sausage and veggies, and edamame; weird combination of foods I know
Planning | Our cross-country move/road trip. We still have a ways to go until Eddie is off the boat and we make the trek but It’s been fun planning where all we want to go (Yosemite, Grand Tetons / Jackson Hole, Colorado, Kansas, Memphis…) with where to stay and what to do!
Inspired By | The motivation of others. I love watching friends come into this knowledge of who they are and stepping forward into that. It’s always inspirational and motivating when you’re surrounded by people taking those next steps into a better life.
A Favorite Blog Read | This letter to a friend from Kiki is just, such a good read. I’ve also Not been reading as many blogs as I used to so I want to start carving out 15+ minutes a day to just touch base with my other bloggers and catch up. If you have favorite blogs/bloggers link them below so I can follow along too!
