If you know me at all then you know I couldn’t wait until the final hour to pull this room together. I’m a planner and always nervous of being behind/late/unprepared and I wanted to make sure if nothing else there was a place for baby boy to rest his head when he got here. I find myself walking into his nursery randomly throughout the day trying to envision how vastly our lives will change when he arrives. I still can’t really wrap my head around all that is coming and what it’s going to look like. I find myself fascinated by watching him wiggle around in my womb and seeing my tummy dance with his activity; it’s a wild time friends. I’m officially 32 weeks today as of posting this and I’m definitely feeling large and in charge. I’ve got some crazy lower back and hip pain and some days feel like I’ve been kicked in the crotch with an steel toed boot but I’m making it (also huge thanks to my prenatal chiropractor).
I really didn’t know what direction I was going to take with his nursery, and honestly I think “themes” put too much pressure on a space that just needs to feel comfortable and relaxing for both parent and child. I was trying to tell family/friends about the vibe I was going for and I kept saying something about a beach at sunset, aka golden hour. I’ve added in nods to coastal style vibes and and kept the color pallet pretty neutral with pops of golden hues and greens.
We’ve still got a few things we need to do in here before I mark it as “complete” but I’m so dang happy this is where we are going into month 8 of pregnancy! We’re looking into a glider/recliner for those (hopefully!) breastfeeding times to go by the bookshelf, my breastfeeding cart, a changing pad, and a few other touches.

I’ve done my best to link everything below that I can for the nursery so far. As mentioned above we’ve still got a few things to get in here (like a glider/recliner, my nursing cart, and a few other touch ups) but it feels so good to have the majority of everything completed!
- Dresser – This is actually my grandfather’s moms dresser
- Crib – DaVinci Charlie 4-in-1 Convertible Crib
- Mattress – We splurged and got the Newton Baby waterproof one (I love that it’s breathable!)
- Laundry Hamper
- National Park Quilt
- Star/Moon/Sun Mobile
- Crib Sheet
- Sunshine Pillow – this will not stay in the crib, I’m planning on it going on the glider!
- Woven pendant light
- Sunshine Prints – I LOVED these two printable ones (one, two) but they inspired me to hand paint it.
- Long Live Boyhood Banner
- Wooden Fish Art – This was such a cool find on etsy!
- Diaper Bag
- Blackout Curtains – These are LEGIT blackout. I love them and they feel so luxurious.
- Wooden Stool – (similar)
