June has started off a little rocky; I have had moments of feeling completely at peace, completely overwhelmed, and completely numb – basically it’s chaos in my head. 😉
I’m trying to find the “right spot” for all of our things in our new townhouse and I am definitely getting my exercise running up and down stairs trying to locate something. Connecticut is truly a beautiful state and I am trying to make time every week to get out and explore state parks, tourist attractions, and local favorites. I think that’s the way I’m staying sane; exploring. I’ve joined a local Rising Tide group and am planning some coffee dates and they are sharing events with, so fingers crossed I don’t come across as “oh my gosh please be my friend” crazy and I am just myself. HA!
This is going to be an interesting month.
Eddie and I are apart right now and I’ll be heading home towards the end of the month to spend time with my family and hopefully see a few friends. Like I mentioned above I’m also trying to fill my schedule with photography clients, meeting new people, and exploring the area.
Planning | What all I’m packing for my trip home to spend time with my family. <3 I’m ready for a week at the beach, chaos, and some southern heat.
Wishing | For a chill couples night with Eddie over Harry Potter, hot tea, and lots of snuggles as well as a full blown girls night with popcorn and long chats.
Learning | That life is what we make of it. Marriage is hard, relationships are hard, being apart from those you love is hard. It’s A-OK to have down moments and down days (I have them often); but it’s also an experience to learn and to grow! Yeah, being apart from my husband sucks, and not having family or friends near me sucks too. It puts a strain on stuff. BUT I get to see new parts of the country, meet new people, go on adventures, and when I am able to spend time with Eddie and my family it’s super appreciated – there’s a great trade off.
Browsing | I recently found this oil company and their branding is ON POINT. I broke down and ordered a few things and am anxiously awaiting their arrival!
Going | I’ve been exploring a ton of places in our new city; castles, beaches, state parks, small sea side towns.
Wearing | I’m still trying out the Lively bras I ordered. I’ve been super bloated recently which makes all my clothes fit tight so new things take some time to get adjusted. I will completely admit that they are super comfortable, quality, and pretty. I hope that they work out for me because I really like not using underwire bras!
Linking up with Anne and Nancy.
What are you currently up to?!
What life lessons do you feel like you’re learning – I love learning together!
I’m glad you have a trip planned to see family and friends. I find having those (even when they are weeks and months away) it helps on the down days.
I really am too, it’s been far too long since i’ve seen them! And, as you said, it gives me something to look forward to!
I need that greenhouse.
It is the greenhouse of my dreams!
RIGHT?! There were 2-3 on the property and I wanted to live in every single one haha.
