When i finally decided it was time for this room to have a facelift i remember a post Dana from House*Tweaking wrote about inspiration/mood boards.
She pointed her readers in the direction of polyvore.com which allows you to make inspiration/mood boards for rooms/clothing/etc.
After following Dana’s instructions on how to set up an account and start a mood board i got my greedy little fingers to start clicking away to put together a board full of inspiration!
. . .
So let me break down some of these items so you have a better understanding of what i’m going for here. The walls {as i’ve already mentioned yesterday} will be grey and i’m debating adding a nice rich blue stripe(s) across the center of the wall. I’m thinking of using the same color that i used for the dining room accent wall. I then plan on building yes building my own shelves {3 or 4} to go over the toilet. I would love for those shelves to hold some extra TP, a nice shadow loving fern, baskets for maria’s hair stuff, and some nice decorative accents. The whale print will be on the wall when you first walk in along with a few other pictures, mirrors, etc to create a really pretty gallery wall.
The capiz pendant lantern will be hanging up in the corner above the shelves to help add some shine and depth to the room & no i do not plan to use it as a light, solely for decoration.
I have a few more ideas that i would like to put into play within this room, but they are definitely a work in progress.
. . .
So there you have it!
What inspires you to change a room?
I like your ideas. That shade of blue is pretty.
I love the blue idea…actually I love all of it! Hurry up and get to it so I can see the after pictures and drool over the prettiness!!!
