as I was going through some scripture the other night – a particular section of the Psalms stuck out to me. I wanted to share it with y’all today – hopefully it will encourage and comfort you as it did for me. God’s Word is living and active – and it astounds me how it is constantly reassuring and challenging me.
“You have kept count of my tossings (wanderings), and put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book? Then my enemies will turn back in the day when I call. This I know, that God is for me. In God, whose word I praise ,in the Lord, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can man do to me?”
did you catch that?
v8: You have kept count of my wanderings and put my tears in your bottle.
God knows my pain. He is present for my joys and my heartbreak. He mourns with me.
& for you.
such a beautiful reminder this morning and every morning. I need to remember that when the enemy comes knocking on my heart. when I am tempted to believe the lies and fall into temptation. God is for me – He loves me – He knows my enemies and knows my hurts – He rejoices in my triumphs and mourns my pain. He is for me – always, without condition. beautiful.

What a great reminder. It's always mind boggling to me to think that the God of creation knows me, like really knows me and cares about me. It's humbling!
My favorite Psalm is 139! In fact, I'm getting a tattoo of "O lord, Thou hast searched me and known me." 🙂
I love that verse! God is so wonderful:) Have a great weekend friend!
So timely Amy. 🙂
Just this week I was telling Mike that while I don't feel like people are really AGAINST me that I also don't feel like anyone is FOR ME. Thanks for reminding me that GOD is for me… always.
I always loved that verse.. If God is for me, then who could be against me? Catching fire!! I can't wait!
This is an awesome reminder. Our tears and hurt never go unnoticed by God. It's more than we can imagine, seeing how many people are on this planet…He still cares enough about US to know our pains. But He does. What a great God.
<3 What a beautiful verse! God's bottle of my tears must be pretty big. I'm an emotional girl. 😉
Frankly, that is a great verse. It is so hard to believe that God knows every detail, every pain, every heartbreak, and every joy. And He doesn't just keep track of me, but everyone that He's created. It's mind-boggling (especially since I have a hard time keeping track of all the little kiddos in the preschool somedays!). 🙂
Frankly…you always pick the best photos for you posts. Always.
Frankly, I'm always excited to read your blog. Every single day there's a post that I know I'll love and enjoy.
Have a great one, Amy!!
"What can man do to me?" How freaking amazing is it to know that in the end, all the lies that the world tells us can't do anything to us. They have no power or rule over us. 🙂 Great post!
Also, I'm going to see Catching Fire this Sunday as well! I can't wait!!!
I would really like to talk/text/email with you and get your thoughts on some things. You seem to be pretty astute for your age (I mean that in the best way). My name is Jamie Hubbard and I live in Savannah. I'm on IG as laughterismydefense
He is for us! I love that. Have you heard Kari Jobe's song "i know that you are for me"? It's beautiful. I am so thankful He is on my side! (& yours!). Love you, girl.
I love this scripture! Such a powerful image of the way God knows our suffering.
Also, how was Catching Fire?! I still haven't seen it!
