You know, instead of spending $80+ on a one-bag costume with accessories that are limited to just that character or only to halloween. I really like to buy at least one or two of the main pieces that I will wear in every day outfits; for example my snow white costume.
Maybe i’m super cheap practical, but I really like things to have more than one use!
Here are a few costume ideas that you will be able to make work for you outside of the fall season:
+ QUEEN OF HEARTS – this dress is ON POINT and really not that expensive. it’s a great twist on the traditional image of the queen of hearts.
+ LYDIA – maybe i love beetlejuice too much (uh hello, they are FINALLY making a sequel!) but lydia is just so fun. so bust out that beautiful black wide-rimmed hipster hat (option one, option two), pair it with a black dress, and BAM you’re lydia!
+ CINDERELLA – ohhh Cinderella, how we love you; especially the latest rendition of your story! when i saw this dress i immediately KNEW it would be perfect for a modern take.
+ ARIEL – now this one is a bit of a stretch – but stay with me. while the coloring says it is blue, the pictures look more teal/green-ish. so i thought of Ariel. <3 the details resemble some mermaid scales right?
+ WONDER WOMAN – do you love fourth of july?!?! me too! and i really love wonder woman! so this skirt is perfect to wear for both!
+ 50’S/60’S – do you want to be a housewife from the 50’s/60’s? this dress is perfection. and honestly, so is this one!
+ DOROTHY – planning to be dorothy this year? this DIY tutorial for her shoes is fantastic – and i would wear them on the regular, maybe i’m just a glitter queen 😉
+ RED RIDING HOOD – when i first saw this version of red riding hood i fell in love and knew it would be easy to copy. get a red cape and then a white dress – option one, two, three, four. five.
p.s. i was not sponsored by choies, i just often find myself browsing their site ha! i’ve also heard mixed reviews about their products…so, i guess go in with caution.
