February Decorating

I’ve never been one to really decorate for Valentines Day/February.
I guess i just never saw the point…i mean really ok so you have hearts everywhere and probably throw-up tons of different shades of pink. Meh it just hasn’t really been my thing.
That is if you don’t count my lame decorating in college of my dorm room door with thousands of hearts and then pranking other people’s doors just to make them feel uncomfortable.
Yeah, that happened; my poor male friends.
So i decided to get out of my grumpy valentines day is for losers attitude this year and give the house a little pizzaz. Pizzaz? Not Pizza…no you have to add another ‘z’ to make it fancy. Crap i don’t think that is how you spell it…and welcome to my inner (or i suppose outer) monologue.
So here are my Valentines Day/February Decorations, also i apologize in advance for the weird yellow’ish lighting…i could not get my white balance right when taking these the other night. I’m sure it doesn’t help that i don’t have a ton of overhead lights.

We actually made two more sets of the heart garland(?) and hung one over the couch in the den and another set in the kitchen. These were SUPER easy to make i have a heart cut-out/puncher that i used to make the small hearts and then hand drew the larger ones without caring if they looked perfect. We took some white thread and taped them in random mismatching patterns and then tapped them to the ceiling; easy as pie! You might also notice the chalkboard that i had re-vamped with stain on the mantle with the cute little houses i got from Hobby Lobby.
Hanging below the mantle (you can kind of see them in the first picture) is this cute little chalkboard hearts garland that i got from world market. I ended up writing the fruits of the Spirit on them and i think they look awesome!
. . .
Do you decorate for Valentines Day/February?

Sooo cute! 🙂 Love your decorations now and your prank decorations then!!!

Honestly, the pictures were just fine. But, I know your frustration. I may have a trick to help get your white balance to cooperate. If you already know this or tried it, sorry…Just in case you don't know I'll tell you anyway. Remind me what camera you have so I can explain it correctly!

So cute! I especially love the garland! I'm actually really bad about decorating for Valentine's too, haha! I have some kitchen towels that have hearts on them. That counts some, right? 😉

Also, the pranking your friends… hilarious! Definitely something I would do. 😉
