up’and’at’em.

ok well it was more like lay in bed, force myself to roll out, and then get everything into my car. i stayed up way too late friday night…and also packed way to much (ahem 4 pairs of shoes)

on the way to atlanta it went a little something like this:
belting out the lyrics to “we are the outsiders” by needtobreathe.

spilling coffee in my seat.

talking on the phone to my roommate, my aunt, beverly, and my grandmother (who told me the story of her skinning a 4 foot rattle snake for my cousin…yum).

more belting out random songs.

stopping to use the restroom and talking to strangers in the bathroom.

oh and then i hit atlanta traffic. i may have saw my life flash before my eyes two or three times. i have the face to prove how terrified i was. i had to convince myself to keep driving and not give up.

i finally made it outside of atlanta to where jenna is – and walked through Target waiting on megan to come meet me. IT WAS GLORIOUS! me and megan have been blog friends for some time now and finally getting to hug her sweet face was wonderful! then we headed off to jenna’s (she let us stay with her for the weekend). We all chatted for a while and then started the whirlwind which was getting ready. that was so much fun!

now off to the MAIEDAE MIXER!!!

megan & i joined jenna and her husband at their church – and it was on point.
a solid message, beautiful worship, and welcoming people in such a cool building.
i love that “the church” is a body of people, not a building, and i can worship with people all across the world and still feel at home.
we then met up with christina at holy taco and shoved down a ridiculous amount of cheese dip, guac, and salsa and then they brought out the tacos. OH THE TACOS.
they were delicious, and juicy, and i loved that i could have meat sauce dripping down my face in front of these ladies without batting an eyelash. blog sistas fo’life 😉
we then went to a super comfy coffee shop then back outside to take some pictures of each other.
i can not wait to share those with y’all!

needless to say, when it was time to go and we were all hugging goodbye – i was totally bummed out. i didn’t want to say goodbye to these amazing women. i’ll be seeing megan and jenna again soon at the renew retreat, but that seems like forever away! man…i just had such a good time.

i’ll probably post a few pictures as maiedae makes them available. as well as share the goodie bag swag (AMAZING!) and who knows, maybe some random snips here and there. WOOHOO!
