after another delicious breakfast we started out on a new adventure.
we were on our way to ardgroom to try to find these sea caves Anne mentioned.
on the way i spotted this little pull-off spot and made lando pull around.
once we parked there was this beautiful path that led into a forest, we found ourselves exploring and were completely awe-struck.
moss covering all the grounds and trees – such tall trees – and sunlight beaming in here and there.
it looked straight out of NARNIA / Lord of the Rings / Harry Potter.
we hiked, and stared at absolutely everything, we took random turns and got a little lost, it was lovely
after a solid hour and a half of wandering and absorbing we headed back to the car to make our way to these sea caves.
(ps you’ll see more of these woods later)
when we got close, we stopped at a gas station and lando ran in to ask for directions buuuttt they were not very clear. so we just kept driving, and driving, and driving through the hills and valleys and coast lines and cliffs and ended up in eyeries.
eyeries is this beautiful little sea-side town with all different colored homes/businesses.
we ended up in this incredible bistro, Rhonwen’s Eyeries Bistro, and it has, hands down, the best hummus i’ve ever had in my life. not only was the hummus so tasty (i got the pesto, sweet caramelized onion & roasted red pepper trio), the vegetable soup with homemade herb + cheese bread was beyond wonderful. lando got a side censor salad & seafood chowder with house bread that he scarfed down at a ridiculous speed and mumbled in between bites how yummy it was.
seriously, if you are ever in eyeries (or near it) go eat here!
…up next, embracing the random pull-offs and walking miles through valleys and skipping rocks on the water.
