so the last time you saw the hallway – it was a hot mess.
well, surprise…at this point in the sharing pictures game the board and batten is up (and painted – but i forgot to upload the pictures of that!) and i’ve ordered the curtains for in front of the washer and dryer (and we fixed the dryer vent – PRAISE!) – i’ve even ordered & framed a new 8×10 print to base a gallery wall off of.
can i be completely honest – picking this paint color was absolutely insane.
i went through 5 different test pots to pick the one i was originally leaning towards – picking a paint color in a hallway with limited natural light and lots of edges – takes days y’all. days.
i even put up a test swatch from my bedroom – to see if i liked that gray better.
the board and batten wasn’t that hard mainlyyyy because i didn’t do it 😉
a friend of mine has been helping me with some house projects because i want to learn some things…and he has that brain that can do all of the technical math and cuts and measurements easy peasy. we went to lowes got the wood, cut it down to size, sanded it, marked it, glued + nail gunned it into the wall. then i got to the best longest part and started painting it all white.
when i share next you’ll see the paint color i picked & the curtains!
we’re still working on installing & painting the bench (which has become tobi’s favorite place to perch) and the cubbies in the corner space – and then it’s all cosmetic with art!
have you been working on any house projects recently?
what areas of your house would you like to spruce up?
