on one of our hikes to cleveland sc, eddie & i finally stopped in tandem creperie & coffeehouse.
we must have shown up at the right time, there were about 9 people in line in front of us and i was able to snag a side table (for the win) – and by the time we sat down the line was out the front door (mind you we got there around 930-10am!).
travelers rest is a beautiful area in SC – full of local gift shops, excellent food, hiking, and smiles from the locals. each time we’ve driven through on our way to and from a hike we’ve stopped at different places to eat and tandem was on my list.
i sunk my teeth into an amazing green club crepe with home-squeezed orange juice while eddie got the lumberjack crepe with another glass of orange juice. while munching on all of the goodness my eyes soaked in the beauty that is the inside of this place. it’s rustic modern feel that was completely welcoming and homey put me at ease even though there were a ton of people inside. i found my photography mind wandering to man, how beautiful this place would be for a couples engagement session – not sure how that would work out with how busy they are – but it’s GORGEOUS.
like those hanging light bulb pendants <3
if i lived any closer to travelers rest – i would weigh 500lbs more because i would be here every. single. weekend. i would guzzle down their orange juice and try every item on their menu at least twice to see if it was as good as it was the first time.
…so if you’re ever in the area for a hike or just passing through – make sure you stop here.
yes, it is worth the line.
yes, it is worth the money.
yes, it is worth the wait.
and yes, you need to eat here!
