Kitchen Floors pt 4…finally

Man, this post has been in the works for a while, i’ve just been incredibly slack.
🙂
The last time i updated on the floors was 4/17 of this year, whoops!
The floors are done, and have been for a while, and i freaking love them. I’ve loved them so much that apparently i wanted to keep them to myself for a while before sharing them with you. Yeah, lets stick with that explanation over being lazy.
Let’s rewind and go over the process really quick. The floors were rotten and we even had some holes in certain areas of the house – we had plywood down to walk over – ha! We went through two weeks of having half the house off limits while they ripped up the floors, re-laid them, and tiled…man that was a process. I really took for granted how much i use the kitchen, laundry area, etc and how weird it was to not be able to walk through that area; plus washing dishes in the sink was getting old. I will say that we had to hire this job out; with the amount of damage and rotting going on there was no way i could DIY this myself – nor did i have the knowledge. So to those of you who DIY your own floors – a huge thumbs up and massive high-five because you rock!
. . .
. . .
Now…uhh…the panoramas that i took today blow – so just deal with it.
Also the kitchen was a MESS so i just cleaned up the little nook area, trust me the rest of the floors look beautiful throughout the whole area. 🙂

. . .

So yeah, they are gorgeous.
I love them, i find myself looking at them whenever i’m in the kitchen, or walking towards it.
It really has come a LONG WAY since i started “taking over the house” ha.
Ready for this?
…

Sheesh.
Yay for progress!

WOW. I am in love with the floors and the pretty wall color + exposed beams on the ceiling. Looks great, girl! I can tell you've put a lot of hard work (and lots of time!) into your house and it's definitely paid off. 🙂

p.s. I'm excited to hear about your + Megan's project in September! Etsy is THE best.
