it amazes me how a piece of my heart connected with these places, especially Edinburgh. i felt at home there – i felt like i could live there and build a lasting life.
my heritage are in the hills, the mountains, the rivers, and castles of scotland & ireland.

what is one of your favorite vacations you’ve been on?
i went to England for 4 days when i graduated high school and i wanted to live there! i miss it so much – these pictures make me want to travel all around UK so much!!
I can see why you miss it all!!! 🙂 I love the pictures of you and your friends, you all look like you're having a blast! The third picture is my FAVORITE and after that come all of the ones with water in them.
My favorite vacation was the MONTH we spent with friends in Georgia. We went to Savannah and Tybee Island which was fun, but my favorite part were the other three weeks or so that we spent with the at their house just enjoying the summer life. Long walks, trips to all their favorite local places, afternoon trips to the movies, and hanging out outside on those PERFECT evenings that happen in the south. I think I left a little piece of me on their front porch…:)
Ahhhh, this makes me want to travel back there, too! I fell in love with Ireland when I went years ago. I don't think I've ever shared pictures from my trip, though.
Do you have any plans to travel back any time soon?
So beautiful. My wanderlust just multiplied!
I just love vacation photos. I hope to make it there one day. 🙂 At least you have a planned trip in the future to look forward to!
That's the thing about travel, isn't it? You learn to love a new place, a new people, and a new culture. Suddenly your definition of "home" begins to change. I remember as a teenager when people would ask me where "home" was I never knew quite how to answer. I was born in the States to American parents, but living in China which had embraced me. I loved people in two countries on opposite sides of the World. And as an adult today, I love people in many countries all across the World. I'm not sure what it would be like to have never traveled and to have always felt like "home" is exactly where I am. But I'm grateful that I've had the opportunity to travel. It does split you in a way when it comes to "home" and where you love, but I wouldn't trade it. 🙂 Hopefully all that rambling makes sense, haha!
The shot of the island is absolutely beautiful. Looks like you had a great time travelling around – I've never been to Edinburgh and I really want to go this year.
Please when you come to the UK email me so we can meet up basically because that would be awesome 🙂 x
ugh, this makes me miss my home and i've never even been! 🙂 as always, LOVE these pictures, friend!
i think that's exactly how i feel about san francisco! every time i visit, i feel at home.. also i love being near the ocean!! 🙂
I have some friends in Ireland right now! And some going in the next month.
I would love to visit there and everywhere one day. Love these pictures, especially that one of you guys laying down and all the different shades. Nice! 😉
