i like to workout.
and i never thought i would utter the sentence above in my life, ever.
truth be told, working out is really challenging and it is a mental battle for me to get out of my garage door and into my home gym and push myself past my mental limits.
working out hasn’t come easy to me – i started my weight loss journey taking small steps with a trainer who pushed me and showed me that my body was capable of more than i thought.
i started eating healthier, taking on more challenging workouts, running more miles, and slowly seeing my body transform from death to life. i’m choosing to be strong, to live an active life, to honor the temple God has given me by taking care of myself.
and it just starts with one step.
this is a routine i’ve been doing about once/twice a week for a month or so now.
i originally found it on pinterest but created a new little image with the exercises written out.
i took some pictures during my last workout (and felt totally weird doing so) to help give a visual of some of the workouts (not pictured – pulsing bridges & arm circles because i forgot ha!).
some of these moves are challenging, so if your’e just starting take it at your own pace and don’t worry about how long it takes you to complete each set and round.
and if you complete 1/2 a round, one round, two, or three – you’re fantastic!
if you give this workout a try, let me know what you thought!
what would you add to the list?
did you have to modify anything (like, i can’t do lunges every time, my calves are temperamental)
