I was writing in my journal last night about what I wanted this week to look like.
I want this week to be full of intention and purpose and I’m REALLY feeling it, aka that motivation is kind of flowing through me.
I was writing this out before my hike this morning and just didn’t get to the place of hitting “publish” in time. Now I’m back in the office, kind of exhausted (HA!) and about to tackle my HUGE to-do list! I’m GOING to grab on to that motivation and just ride it out this week.
I want this week to look like:
Eating well.
Exercising.
Working Smarter.
Intentional Quiet time.
Intentional time with Eddie (reading, conversation starters, etc).
Self care. (taking a bath, stretching, etc).
?? What do you find yourself doing to make sure your weeks are intentional, purposeful, and that your’e crossing off the things you want/need to?
Friday
I got up early and met some friends at a local park to walk 6 miles around the lake! We take our fitbit step challenge seriously and I NEEDED those 6 miles to keep on track. 😉 I then spent the day running some errands then coming home to clean and relax for the evening. Eddie was working so I took that time to watch Sierra Burgess Is A Loser and I really liked it! I think Netflix has been making some amazing movies lately and the cast they had was perfect. Do you have any new favorites on your list? I would love to hear them!
Saturday
Y’all. Saturday was AMAZING! I ended up, at the very last minute, attending a whole day of education on SEO (aka a small-scale conference) put on by Flock Presents. They had some amazing speakers Kuleen Lashley, Camille Whiting, Stefanie Mullen, and Tiffany Romero ;Â Â at the end of the day I felt like my head was going to explode from all of the knowledge! I’m still chewing on all of the information and amazing insight, but one of the things that Tiffany Romero said was to speak positive affirmations over your day – “I welcome abundance to flow into my life.” There is truth about keeping a positive attitude and outlook throughout our lives. Sooooo this week I plan to carve out some time in the office to start implementing some of these AMAZING tips from these amazing women! A SINCERE thank you to Flock Presents (both Emelia Cellura & Cam Bowman ) for putting together something so amazing. I’m definitely eyeing their Pinterest Small-Scale Conference in Disneyland next month! That afternoon / evening I was able to attend a party for our friend and neighbor for making Chief! It was a great time with great laughs and good food and community time that I love so much!
Sunday
I GOT A TATTOO!
My second one, on the outside right forearm and I AM IN LOVE! I went with two of my girlfriends, Marissa & Nicole, to SD Tattoo and we all got something special to us! I’ve been wrestling with the thought of getting another tattoo since my first one 8 years ago and one word kept rolling around in my head:Â steadfast.
Steadfast: Firmly fixed in place. Immovable. Not subject to change. Unwavering. To endure patiently. A steadfast person is one who is reliable, faithful, and true to the end. Paul said Jesus was a person of steadfastness (Romans 15:3-4). James said that trials that test our faith produces steadfastness (2 Thessalonians 1:3) // This word has been a lifeline to me for many years. The more I study scripture and the character of God the more this word and phrase resonates within me. Did it hurt? Yes. Badly? Not at all. My foot tattoo hurt way more than this little guy!
That afternoon Eddie took me to Dave & Busters for a date! (I love games and have always wanted to go) It was so much fun getting to play some games with the husband and just cut loose. We then walked around  a little outside shopping mall, grabbed some food at Tender Greens, and then walked around the 2 story target, because why not? We got the 4th Halloween Town movie (YAY!) and then watched Halloween Town 2 when we got home while I made this DELICIOUS cashew chicken keto friendly recipe. It’s so good this was actually the 2nd time I’ve made it this week!
